Movies That Don't make Me Cry
Really, this is too long of a list to actually assemble. Tonight, we will speak of a single movie that did not wrench a single sob from my huddled form.
I speak only of that masterpiece of modern cinema, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
The strongest emotion it evoked in me was a hearty laugh. (Note: spoilers are submerged just below the surface ahead. Tread warefully.) I might even say that what escaped from my throat when the newly minted Darth Vader stepped to the fore and, staggered by the loss of his beloved, bellowed "Nooooooo!" was more of a guffaw.
It was full throated, and filled with a genuine pleasure. I retract my earlier statement that "Wes Anderson has an excellent grasp of comic tragedy," and instead bestow the honor of tragicomedic expertise on George Lucas.
Now, to be fair, I can say that I do think this is the best of the pre-trilogy, but I must also give the caveat that it couldn't help but be so, could it? If anything, it suffered from the same disease that its predecessor did, which is (of course) the utter lack of believability in the romance between Padme and Anakin. This is curiously both more and less critical, for it supposedly provides the impetus for Anakin's turn, which is unbelievable, while also being somewhat irrelevant when confronted with the spectacle of Anakin's turning.
Ah, whatever.
G'night.

Everyone loves me
If you are the one who made me sick, I'm hunting you down with my trusty attack dog... OK, so maybe the cat would be a little more intimidating, what with the blinded eye and no hair.
Anyway, THE MACHINE WORKS! I am posting. Life is good.

P.S.- How can people not love a cold hearted bastard such as yourself?
Sethy, I miss thee. I hope you are having fun in Texas. You better miss me too. I signed up for my classes this past Monday. I'm taking a biology class, a chem class and lab, rhetoric (if that's how you spell it), and a math review class. I hope you don't hate Texas as much as you say you did. Maybe I'll call you later to tell you more details, you know, if you want to hear them. My last day is coming up fast. I'm getting my laptop soon and then I can talk to you with my own computer! How exciting. Anyways, I'll talk to you later. I miss you. -Heather
